| Fort Ligonier Trip | |
| The Cumberland Valley Township Historical Society is arranging a bus trip to Fort Ligonier Museum. Planned events for the day will include a tour of the museum given by Charles Fagen III, of Bedford, who is a scholar of the life of George Washington and has previously served as president of the board of trustees of Fort Ligonier Musuem, a self guided tour of the town of Ligonier and dinner at the Coal Miners Cafe in Jennerstown. The bus will be picking up in Centerville, departing at 8 am and at the Fort Bedford Park at 8:30am. The bus will arrive back at Bedford at 7:30 pm and in Centerville at 8 pm. Cost is $30 adults and $17 for children 6 and up and includes admission to the museum and dinner. A brown bag lunch will be had at the museum picnic area with individuals providing their own food and drink. Reservations can be made by contacting Debra Topinka at 814-494-1369 or 814-623-4024 and must be made no later than May 18. |
